 I am in EME2040 as an asynchronous student. Something that I liked about this experience is the ability to do my work whenever I could throughout the week without having to worry about it interrupting my work schedule. It feels like the class works with me instead of against me, and having all of the information at my fingertips whenever it is needed really does help. Something that I feel like I could do to help further the classroom experience would be adding helpful reminders or open educational resources around the middle of the week. It would help keep me on track with both the teachings and the assignments. Speaking of open educational resources, they are open-source instructional materials that can assist an educator such as a teacher or professor with teaching. These resources can be pieces of text, media, or other materials that can give teachers a better understanding of the topic at hand.  The web design assignment was very interesting to work on. It was a time-consuming assignment that took some time and elbow grease to work out properly. Even with using a website template, it proved to be challenging at times with trying to figure out how I can incorporate certain information and where I should be incorporating it. I did like the assignment since it gave me the opportunity to learn more about website building and to further practice my skills. What I disliked about it would be the time given for the project, since I feel like we could have possibly been given a bit more time to work on it. Then again, other work needs to get done so maybe it was the most that we could have realistically been given. I can apply what I learned from this assignment to my future career by understanding how to overcome unexpected obstacles and how to find creative solutions for problems.  The link to my website. There is also the option to see who is participating in the program as well as the different standards that the state itself has placed on the subject and grade levels so that both teachers and parents are able to understand what needs to be taught to the students. Furthermore, there are newsletters for each grade level and in the main languages in Miami so that it is available to as many parents as possible.   Diigo is pretty interesting software to use. It does not seem to be that advanced when it comes to other educational softwares such as Edmodo, but it does allow for a different form of engagement with a variety of faculty, staff, and students. However, one thing that I do enjoy about Diigo is that it promotes a discussion-type of interactions with those that are part of the group. It allows one to provide an in-depth view of the material or information and view the interaction that the post has. Blogging is an interesting concept to me since I'm someone that doesn't particularly like placing any type of personal information or thoughts out into the internet. I know that for many people, blogging is a way for them to vent, express themselves, or connect with other like-minded people on the internet, but it simply isn't something that I am interested to put it frankly. Twitter was something that, before using it, did not understand much. I didn't see the reason why a social media platform whose sole purpose was to send short sentences and pictures needed to exist. However, when I first began using it, I understood. It is a way to provide information in a concise manner or to give others access to pieces of media from around the internet. I first used it for my school, where I created a twitter to connect with friends and see what was going on. From there, I found important people, news outlets, and info pages that gave me a vast amount of information in such a small format. Twitter might be helpful in my future career when I would like to inform others of a specific teaching method, how it's worked for me, and if there is anything I can do to improve that method or if there is a better method to begin with. This standard focuses on the use of illustrations and multimedia to extrapolate information and then be able to state the ideas that one has from the said topic clearly. I feel as if with my current skill set I may be able to apply this standard in the classroom since it would allow me to teach students the basic analytical tools that they will be using both in their coming years of education and in life itself.
